Already from afar catches our eyes the inviting front of the nice building in the hillsides. If you are a tired cyclist, exhausted wanderer or a crazy wine-lover, the time stops a littlebit in the Fényes Cellar while you are drinking a glass of noble wine.
According to the traditions of the Sopron historical wine-region, our grown grape types are: Kékfrankos, Tramini, Green veltelini, and also the world famous types like: Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Zweigelt.
We’ve built our cellar in the year of 2000. Its speciality is the location: contrary to most of the cellars in Sopron, which hide usual in the town, under the houses, the Fényes Cellar waits the guests in the middle of the wineyards with the landscape of the Lake Fertő.
Climbed down into the cellar we can see that its equipment represents the high technology meeting with the requirements of the 21th century.The processing equipment and the tanks are made of stainless steel, and that is completed with the barrique barrels to ripen the vintage wines.
Processing and fermentation are made with stainless steel technology, with reductive method, than a part of the wines is taken to barrique barrels to get az exciting, natural flavour.
We’ve initiated the HACCP system, so our cellar-technology has not got any harmful effect on the environment. We use the integrated environmental wine-growing technology for 3 years, we are the members of the National Agrarian-Environmental Program. The pest control works by the plant-disease forecast-system. Institution of this system is connected with the family Fényes.
